After thoughtful deliberation, The Friends of Saint Anne’s Hospital have decided to discontinue the Money Tree Raffle, effective immediately. The raffle will no longer be one of the Friends’ annual fundraising events.  We will refund any amount you have paid in part, or in full towards your 2010 ticket purchase(s).  Please understand that this was a difficult decision, and one that was not made lightly. 

Factors which led to this decision include: 

       The need to streamline fundraising activities to allow for greater focus on those that generate the highest levels of support for the healthcare needs of our community.

       The pending acquisition of Caritas Christi and Saint Anne’s Hospital by Cerberus Equity, which could impact the available resources required to manage this activity.

Please note the following process for reimbursement of any monies paid to date for 2010 ticket purchases:

1. Tickets purchased through Saint Anne’s Hospital payroll deductions:  Payroll will refund you the total amount paid to date for your ticket(s). This reimbursement will appear in your May 13, 2010 paycheck (for pay period ending May, 8, 2010).

2. Tickets purchased using EFT/credit card:  Saint Anne’s Hospital will refund you any amount paid to date for your ticket(s) by electronically crediting the account or credit card from which you paid your ticket(s) by May 30, 2010.

3. Tickets purchased by check, cash:  You will receive a check for the amount you have paid to date for your ticket(s) within 60 days of this notice.

In closing, we hope you will consider supporting the other Friends fundraising activities planned for 2010, including our Bike Challenge in July, Theatre Production in September and Candlelight Ball in October.

Funds raised from these events will enable Saint Anne’s to expand its free transportation program for cancer patients, and establish an oncology resource center that will support the wellness and healing process by providing patients and loved ones with information, emotional support and complimentary care services.
